Subject: Download first aid for dummies
Hi,
My heart bleeds to read the testimonials of those unenlightened members who
still download picture by picture, almost giving themselves as much work as
the assistant who puts them up in the first place.
So here's some download first aid that you might want to post in the
testimonials section.
1. Clean out your temporary internet files cache.
2. Set the slide show to 4 seconds on the set of your choice.
3. Do the laundry.
4. When the set is done, go to the temporary internet cache and click (top
left) on "name", so that all the JPEG will be displayed numerically.
5. Mark and copy (right mouse click) the files to a suitable location on
your C drive.
6. Mark all the files (although more than 300 at a time is not a good idea),
right mouse click "open" and watch the magic of EMA at full speed. You
should not put the pictures in the "my documents" folder, as this has
serious space/speed limitations. Just create a new file on the C drive
instead.
7. Delete the pictures you don't like.
This should significantly raise the quality of life of countless EMA members
- and raise the pressure on you, dear Mr. Higgins, to produce ever more
material. By the way, I think the testimonials section is a great new
feature.
Yours,
xxx

Dear WH
Firstly I must say that even though in Wed. newsletter you say you have developed a thick skin, the rest of the letter makes me think you haven't really. It's not easy, I haven't either with age, and my form of defence is attack. I suppose you are bound to get "knockers" as we call them in Australia (i.e. people who find fault) but I bet the guys who love your site far outnumber them.I have been a member of many sites in the 3.5 years I've been on the net. Many of them are utter crap and get you to join with either downright lies or embellishment of the truth. EMA is the only site that I'm prepared to stay with on a permanent basis. Mind you, your policy of releasing only part of the set at a time is clever marketing, and certainly encourages me to remain. Also maybe I'm unusual in that I love seeing your guys doing mutual wanks, I find sucking and fucking in picture sets absolutely boring as there is usually not much for the viewer to see. I like solos most of all. I guess I am just a peeping tom (or Pete). This is when you seen the guys at their most vulnerable.Anyway for the free perfect (so far) Windows ME slideshow:Download the trial .exe of the version 3.1 (about 8mb). This has an evaluation period of 90 days, but if you go to the website every 30 days to download the latest ads.(which appear in the ACDSee window) you can continue to use it at no charge. If you only want the slideshow facility do a "custom" instal and untick everything except the files you want to be opened by ACDSee (probably jpegs and maybe bmps)When you open the programme, make sure in Tools/options/viewer you tick "full-screen", and in slideshow you adjust the period between pictures. (I use 1000milliseconds) Then just leave the default settings. All your pictures should be stored within folders and subfolders of "My Pictures". In the main "My Pictures" folder make sure View/thumbnails is enabled. eg I have mine setup as MyPictures/Pictures/wh boys/Jordi-Milan etc etc. Then double-click on any picture in your folders for the slideshow to start at that point. There is no need to open ACDSee. Pause with "pause" key. Advance manually with spacebar. "Escape" to return to the folder. Right-click the mouse to change options. Depending on your mouse the wheel will also allow backward or forward movement.Sit back and enjoy EMA handsfree.
