I have a lot of material to present in today's newsletter.  I'd hoped to offer some ideas about the problem with AOL and delivery of the Newsletter mailings.  But I won't have time.  I will write my ideas tomorrow and update this spot in the Newsletter.  So, AOL Newsletter subscribers please check back on this page tomorrow for my ideas.

August 23rd 'AOL Problems Update'

As promised, I'm adding a brief update today about the problems that have been reported by many AOL Newsletter subscribers.  Since about the 5th of August, we have received many, many complaints from Newsletter subscribers with AOL e-mail addresses that they are no longer receiving the twice weekly Newsletters.  We are attempting to look into the problem.  Let me say that several subscribers with AOL e-mail addresses have written to say that they are still receiving the Newsletter.  Very strange.  There are several possibilities.  Recently, we have had a tremendous influx of Newsletter subscribers with AOL e-mail addresses One possible explanation is that about the first of August we reached a 'magic number' of AOL subscribers, and AOL cut off delivery of our Newsletter as 'spam.'  If that is the case, then why are some AOL subscribers still receiving the Newsletter?  One member has theorized that many of you may have your AOL e-mail settings incorrectly set.  He has promised to write a FAQ on how to properly set them.  As soon as I receive it, I will post it on-line.  If you are an AOL subscriber and you are NOT receiving the Newsletters, then may I ask you to write an e-mail to AOL customer service asking why you have been cut off from the Newsletter.  Please forward the replies to me at:

Here is what we are doing to try and solve the problem:  We will be sending the Newsletter to AOL subscribers at staggered times over 48 hours.  In that way, there won't be a huge group of e-mails hit the AOL system at one time.  We'll see if that works to solve the problem.  When I've tested AOL addresses or replied to e-mails with AOL addresses they've always gotten through.

Another thing to keep in mind, if you do not receive the Newsletter, I always post them as the home pages of both sites immediately after sending them.  So, you can check the two sites and the most recent version of the Newsletter will always be on-line:

http://www.williamhiggins.com

and

http://www.euromilitary.com

Here is also a fool-proof workaround, I think, you can subscribe to one of a couple of free e-mail services.  These two e-mail services will forward all e-mail received to your AOL address.  Then you should subscribe to the Newsletter using the new e-mail address.  I have e-mail accounts at both of the services and use them to verify that the Newsletter has gone out properly.  If you have any difficulty in setting these e-mail services to forward incoming mail to you're AOL account, then write me and I'll try and walk you through the process:

The first is Yahoo mail.  http://www.yahoo.com.  The second, and this is a very nice and easy to use one, is:  http://www.mail.com/

If I were going to choose one, I would always go with the smaller of the two, and that would be mail.com.

Also, a heads-up for when you receive a 'DNS' (Directory Name Server) Error, you can always then use this work-around to reach the sites:

Today, I present the first shoot with Misha where he 'rises to the occasion.'  I'm afraid that I got a little bit carried away and selected too may photos.  So many of your members might like to click right through the the full sized uncensored images and skip looking at all of these preview images.

Here are the links.  And you can skip all of the preview photos and go directly to Page 3 of the Newsletter by clicking the second link:

Misha is rapidly becoming one of my favorite models to work with.  He is a tremendous flirt as if you would need any reminders.  Misha is an very accomplished college wrestler.  He's been to American for wrestling tournaments on several occasions.   I believe that he will become a very important member of our little ensemble.  This week, I've scheduled two big shoots with Misha because he wants to go on a holiday away from Prague (unfortunately, after I wrote the sentence above, I was walking to the studio for a shoot, and ran into Misha, and discovered that he is going away on a longer 'holiday' than I'd expected.  He's been drafted into the Army!  And he will be based far, far away where it will be very difficult to schedule work with him.  Bummer.  However, as they say, where there's a will, there's a way.  And I can't do without my Misha fixes for a year!)  The first of the two last shoots will be with Michal.  And that should be quite exciting as Michal is a very experienced model and should break Misha into the program quite well on camera.  And than later in the week, I will try to do a wrestling scene with Misha and the Russian Angel, who is also a college wrestler.  This will be our first match with two 'real' wrestlers.  In today's shoot, we pursued a wrestling motif, with Misha showing some wrestling exercises and poses.
