I remember Marian from his recent Preview. Tomas says: "It is always a challenge to shoot people with glasses and make them look good. I hope you like this set." Tomas surely knows that one of my own personal fetishes is guys in glasses. I can safely say it's de rigueur in my trade immediately to tell models with glasses to take them off. NOT ME. I always try to shoot them with their glasses. I understand what Tomas is saying. There is always a problem with light reflections in glasses. What Tomas tried to do in this set is make sure the reflections did not cover the pupils. He says, and I agree, that covering the pupils causes the viewer to lose contact with a model. He says it's just like a model wearing mirror sunglasses. I don't know why most photographers ask models to remove eyeglasses, maybe it's the reflections problems, or maybe they feel glasses detract from a model's masculinity. They work just fine for me. I believe they add substance to a model.
Marian is a fine looking guy. In someway his face reminds me of Vladimir Gott. Marian has a shot at his life-dream. I do believe he needs to do a little bit of work on his body. I'm impressed by what I see here, plenty enough.
