Preview is an idea I had when I learned Dalibor is an actual student of
massage. I'm currently besotted by Ivan Bartok. I'm very pleased to
report from my observations of this shoot, Ivan is ready to Rock 'N' Roll.
No problems at all. Golly, I'm so glad. Dalibor is another story.
He was pretty shocked and will probably require more cajoling by Misha and
perhaps a Screen Test or Two. I really plan to work Ivan into a full movie
right away. A stop at the Helping Hand along the way wouldn't be a bad
idea. I have a very special plan for that one also. I went for the
Big Czech Up on Wednesday and passed just fine with only a little minor surgery
and maybe another relativly minor surgery in the future. That's a great
burden off my mind, and I'll be able now to throw myself into the Late Fall and
Winter Movie. Ivan will play a major role.

First, this will be the last chance I have to communicate with you before the
elections on America on Tuesday. I'd like very much to take this final
opportunity to urge all of our US citizen readers to vote in the Presidential
election on Tuesday. This is by far the most important Presidential
election that's happened so far in my lifetime. I do not think it is
possible to overstate the consequences of the outcome of Tuesday's voting.
I say this with the realization of the hot water I've gotten myself into
whenever I've ventured even slightly into the political thicket on these pages.
Please don't think there are no important differences between the two
candidates. All of our lives will be greatly affected by the outcome of
Tuesday's election. So, PLEASE, VOTE!
Those who've been reading this Newsletter for awhile will know already that the
mother of our Art Director Tomas is a fashion designer of much renown in the
Czech Republic. Each year about this time, she presents a Standing Room
Only fashion show. The 2004 show was last night in the Museum of Liberec,
a beautiful Art Nouveau town, north and east of Prague, near the German border (Liberec
is also not far from Decin where so many of our important models live).
This is the fourth year I've attended this fine event. This year five of
our photographers, including myself and Tomas, covered the event. The
photos below were taken after the show. For the last three years we've
made the museum library our base camp. You can get an idea of how much
equipment we tote around for an outside shoot (and this was a 'small' event).
For a movie, an equipment van is required. Tomas brother is now an events
photographer in Brno, doing quite well. He grabbed the photo of yours
truly below. I'd highly commend his skills as I don't look nearly as big a
frog as usual in his photograph.
Below are a few shots I took of the show from up in the Tech Area.
It's easy to tell Tomas has some very creative genes.
